Talent Acquisition Specialist

What We Are Looking For:

The People Experience (PX) team is in search of a new team member to join the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to provide hands on support to our commercial organization to help drive business through hiring new talent.  At Volvo Cars, our Talent Acquisition team is focused on understanding and promoting the culture, organization, and inclusive environment to help us become the employer of choice. This person comes with the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and locations around the world. This role also requires a strong sense of humor - we like to have fun while we are making history!

 

What You’ll Do:

  • You'll strive toward establishing Volvo Cars as an employer of choice by providing a luxury candidate experience
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to identify staffing needs and determine creative hiring strategies.
  • Drive the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, networking, pre-screening candidates, reviewing resumes, assessing applications, and initiating and managing interviews
  • Develop a robust pipeline and database of qualified candidates using traditional and non-traditional sourcing techniques and networking.
  • Leverage social media and other talent acquisition technology to attract high potential talents into the organization.
  • You will partner and collaborate with other TA/PX colleagues on ad hoc projects as needed.

  • Go-getter attitude.  You don’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • Can keep up with a fast-paced environment.  Juggling multiple priorities is no feat to you and you can still keep up with all the details.
  • Strong communication is second nature to you.  Both verbal and written, you communicate transparently and concisely, but you know how to manage emotions and expectations while also building trust.
  • You have a few years, 2-4, of Human Resources/Talent Acquisition experience under your belt in addition to a bachelor’s degree in HR or similar field   
  • You are an advocate for digital work life and lean on Microsoft Suite.  Experience with SuccessFactors or other Applicant Tracking Systems are a plus.
