Volvo Car USA – Lead, Digital Retail

Job Overview:

Volvo Cars Lead, Digital Retail is responsible for managing digital performance improvements for the Volvo retailer website program. This is an integral role between Marketing and Sales, working closely with key stakeholders in the Field and is an expert in digital marketing and retailing. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage Tier 3 digital program for all retailers, this includes, but is not limited to retailer websites, digital retailing, retailer communications. website performance improvements.
  • Lead, coach and support at retailer meetings, and key company events. 
  • Close collaboration with retailers, regional leadership and key digital partners.
  • Define Best-in-class customer experience for retailer websites and drive implementation across the network.
  • Craft Volvo Cars strategy for Volvo retailer website programs and will lead the process of future selections of main program supplier.

Job Specifications/Knowledge:

  • Strong digital marketing experience with critical understanding of best practices in digital retailing, SEM, SEO, display and video advertising.
  • Exceptional team player/thought leader with the credibility and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly
  • Think creatively and bring new ideas and strategies to the wider Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams across functions and across the company.

  • Ability to utilize a PC, analyse data, track trends and retrieve relevant information.

  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Strong business and digital acumen - this is generally acquired through a combination of education (college or graduate) and at least 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Good knowledge of automotive industry at corporate and retailer level, ideal if the candidate has comprehensive understanding of automotive new car digital marketing and brand communications.
  • Background in Digital Advertising including SEM/SEO.
  • Background with Retailer Website programs, ideally had exposure to multiple solutions on the retail and OEM side.
  • Strong presentation skills, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel experience.  
  • Some travel required
