Job Purpose

Volvo Cars is launching new ways to purchase and drive a Volvo, and solutions must be created to deliver a strong dealer and customer experience. Overall, we are designing an architecture that is prepared to meet our future business needs and enables development of interfaces to develop new services and exchange of information.


The Product Owner – Customer Profiles will work within VCUSA Online Business team and broader technical teams/architects to build the product roadmap for building customer profiles that can be shared with our retailers to deliver more personalized experiences.


The product roadmap will require a deep dive into the data to assess the quality of the data, investigating how it can be aggregated and presented in a smart way in the Online Sales processes. You’ll work closely with the data platform teams to build the requisite services and the Salesforce teams to build the requisite user interfaces once the roadmap has been defined.


What You Can Bring

  • Maintain and develop product roadmaps together with engineering, and Americas Online Business team, for local implementation of customer profiles within the Online Sales process.
  • Own, prioritize, and facilitate the refinement of product backlog to ensure that the agile product teams are delivering the right MVP and subsequent enhancements to drive consumer/retailer and business value.
  • Work with implementation development team to realize the vision by executing the prioritized backlog in a clearly defined and agreed upon schedule.
  • Accountable for monitoring, optimization and enhancement related to the product area, within specified time schedule and budget framework.
  • Accountable for ensuring the quality of releases on the product area, testing and validating that the requirements are met and ultimately accepting the work of the team before going live.
  • Playing a key part in continually improving the ways of working with the product team and wider team services team at an early stage in the team’s digital transformation.
  • Establish metrics to drive engagement and value of with backend solutions from both dealership employees as well as Volvo field employees.

What We Are Seeking:

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results with cross-functional partners across various functions (developers, business stakeholders, product and marketing teams, etc.)
  • Strong communication and relationship skills with ability to facilitate and convince key stakeholders
  • Project management certifications or heavy experience (PMP or PMP-Agile) or plan to obtain certification
  • Independent, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind-set and can-do attitude with the ability to have a grand vision, but still comfortable with working at detail level
  • Must be comfortable being a leader able to influence across functional and technical teams spread globally.
  • Fluent in English
  • Nice to have: Prior experience owning products based on the Salesforce.com platform
  • Nice to have: Prior experience with digital transformation projects



  • University degree in the field of Business and/or Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with proven track record in Digital and/or CRM environment; ideally with a Franchise, Manufacturing or Automotive Company.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong verbal and written communication skills
