Job Summary:   
Volvo Car USA’s Performance Media Activation Specialist is responsible for activating eCommerce digital media to deliver the highest possible outcome for Care by Volvo Online Sales, while maximizing brand-building potential. Also deliver cross-sharing of best practices and improved outcomes across four core markets in the Americas (U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Mexico).

The right candidate will exhibit experience with eCommerce digital media, data, analytical and organizational skills.





• Ensure that eCommerce digital media is activated in accordance with best practice and global media strategy & frameworks, bringing the highest possible outcomes for Care by Volvo Online Sales and brand building perspective, while responsible for the performance and optimizations within the Americas markets.


Key Tasks

•  Ongoing dialogue with the media agency channel managers for constant optimizations within investment strategies

•  Work with eCommerce digital content team on what kind of ad formats needed for delivery

•  Work with eCommerce digital content team on what kind of messaging is working in what platform / for what audience

•  Flag ad-fatigue

•  Ensure activation in accordance with best practice and our media frameworks while delivering toward our targets/KPIs

•  Manage agile marketing, new hypothesis, test & learns, and backlogs for bigger tests in the Americas Markets

•  Share any findings with the rest of the regional digital media activation team

•  Manage digital media budget for eCommerce splits for local always on activations

•  Make sure that the activation is traceable

o Control tagging in line with UTM string tool builder and naming convention

o Ensure triggers and tags are firing to support business needs

o Flag any inconsistencies with the broader team


Key Competencies/Abilities:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Business, Marketing, Data Analytics or Advertising major a plus.

• 2+ years in eCommerce, Digital Media/Marketing, and Media Performance Analytics.

• An understanding of Digital Media Channels (Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic), data exchanges, ad networks, demand side platforms (DSP), agency trading desks or supply side platforms (SSP).

• Digital media analytical and performance skills, data driven decision-making and to support business results.

• Experience of eCommerce online advertising a plus.

• Experience with digital campaign setup, optimization, and reporting; audience segmentation, audience development, ad targeting and delivery.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Web Applications.
