Intern: Customer Experience & Dealer Development

Department & Position Summary

 

We’re looking to recreate a customer experience worthy of our products and redefine the experience. The key pain points of a traditional purchase and delivery experience includes: variation of product & sales expertise, one-time sales incentives versus long-term relationships, lack of ease & convenience, and transparency. Through Volvo Car University, a digitally enabled service experience, consumer scheduling through Volvo-on-Call, and predictive maintenance, we’re looking to change the way customers network with our brand.

 

The Customer Experience (CX) & Dealer Development Intern will assist with operational tasks within our business unit, improvement of processes with regions/vendors/other departments, and transformation of our retailer network. As part of this visible role, the intern will attend and participate in Network and CX business meetings as well as meetings with vendors, regions, and other departments.  He/she will play an integral role with the Network & CX team, other VCUSA departments and key vendors in coordinating Retailer Standards, Facility Improvements, & Business Management initiatives as well as projects in CX associated with training and product launches.  The role is for a person who is comfortable working with experts in a field, interpreting input, summarizing key findings, and balancing data and instinct.

                                    

As an Intern, you will gain hands-on understanding how two departments add value to the organization, initiatives underway to transform customer experience, operational and understanding of how dealerships operate and view of the OEM/retailer relationship.

In order to be considered for this program, you need to be currently enrolled in a related Undergraduate degree program as a rising, Junior, Senior or anticipate graduating within the calendar year. Program is set to begin early June 2021.
