Job Summary:   


As the Data Integration Development Lead in our Data Management department, you will be an integral contributor to the digital transformation of Volvo Cars USA, a leading disruptor in the automotive industry.  You will help lead the data integration team of engineers as well as be hands on to design and configure interfaces to integrate internal and third party data.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Helping to manage a data integration team of engineers to support full API and integration lifecycle, from technical specifications, development, testing, implementation, support, and upkeep.
  • Designing, Implementing, Testing, and Documenting new integrations using the tools, such as Mulesoft, Heroku, SSIS, etc.
  • Recommending solutions atop business challenges and gaps using Mulesoft, Heroku, or other technologies where appropriate.
  • Working with technical analysts to understand integration and API scope and specifications through detailed assessments
  • Ensuring best practices are being followed to develop reliable, scalable, and high performance solutions, including strong process documentation and change/version management.
  • Support existing cloud infrastructure for integrations while facilitating migration to new cloud provider.


Key Competencies/Abilities:


  • 3+ years of hands on Experience in developing APIs and integrations using MuleSoft or a similar tool.
  • 3+ years of SQL server design and development experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, 5-7 years of professional experience.
  • Experience leading a team of remote developers.
  • Excellent and proactive written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Must have an analytical mind.
  • Comfortable adapting to changing business situations.
  • Process oriented, great follow through skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Cloud is a must, Azure is preferred but will accept other providers.
  • Preferred skills (but not required)
    • Experience with agile for IT implementations and familiarity with Microsoft DevOps
    • Experience with Heroku
    • Experience with PostGres
    • Experience with Azure Cloud
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
