Customer Credit & Insurance Agent

Job Summary:

The Customer Credit Agent represents Volvo Car Financial Services (VCFS) and Polestar Financial

Services (PFS) by acting as the liaison between Volvo Cars, Polestar, VCFS, PFS, retailers and the

customer. This position is responsible for ushering the customer through the credit application and

funding process while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.


Principal Responsibilities:

• Review daily credit application submissions received through the Care by Volvo portal

• Evaluate declined applications for eligibility to resubmit with a qualified co-applicant and communicate with the customer

• Thoroughly explain any reasons for a declined credit application to the customer upon their request

• Request and explain any credit stipulations associated with the credit decision

• Coordinate the review of customer submitted credit stipulations with the VCFS Underwriting team to clear prior to customer delivery

• Validate any credit application information with the consumer prior to delivery

• Understand and be able to effectively discuss lease contract details, payments and taxation with retailers and customers

• Maintain oversite of the VCFS Care by Volvo consumer email inbox and manage as necessary

• Monitor any outstanding credit applications that have expired during the ordering process and communicate with the customer to resubmit for credit review

• Manage contract funding process with VCFS and communicate with the customer/retailer if any further information is needed to complete the funding process

• Handle any customer concerns/complaints related to the credit application or funding process

• Manage vendor platform relationships with Dealertrack and RouteOne for program efficiencies


Competencies/Experience/Skills Required:

• Strong management abilities (coaching, teaching, developing others) – demonstrated success.

• Results oriented – works towards goals, setting high standards for self and others.

• Ability to analyze issues and data systematically to find efficiencies.

• Ability to utilize a PC to communicate, analyze data, track trends, and retrieve relevant iinformation. Use of Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to communicate, both written and orally, on a professional level

• Broad knowledge of F&I and Retail Sales experience, which is usually acquired through a combination of education (Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience) and at least 3-5 years of Automotive retail experience.
