Summer Worker - Software Development at Product & Quality in Lund

Within the unit Vehicle Software & Electronics, we are responsible for the entire infotainment system and electrical control. We develop and verify systems and components within these areas and we work with the latest technology in order to reach the future characteristics and requirements in a very exciting field.

 

What you'll do

We are looking for students to work with different aspects of quality assurance of the SW, e.g. Continuous Integration, test automation and increasing the test coverage in above-mentioned domains. The summer work will be based in our Lund office.


Connected Infotainment SW Development group within Vehicle Software & Electronics is responsible for design, development, optimization and verification of software in next generation Telematics systems. Our responsibility covers functionality in the following areas:

  • Telematics
  • Connectivity
  • Volvo On Call

 

Who you are

We are looking for students that have a positive mindset and want to be part of high-performing teams this summer. You are structured, analytical and able to take initiatives and work independently. Being a good team player is of high importance.

 

Required qualifications

  • Student in Software/Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics or Electrical Engineering with profile on SW development, from a technical university.
  • To fully benefit from the summer work you need to be at least a 3rd year student
  • Embedded C/C++
  • Experience in Linux and Linux tool chain (git, Gerrit, Jenkins) is an asset
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Location: Lund
Duration: All summer worker positions will take place during the period June-August 2019 for a total work period of up to 10 weeks depending on the position. Note that some departments might be closed for a period during week 29-32.
