Senior Lead Engineer - Surface Material Developer 表面材料开发工程师

What you will do?

  • Be responsible person to lead/support development of Surface material (Leather, Vinyl, Textile, etc.)
  • Lead/support cross functional team of internal (including purchasing, supplier quality, manufacturing and logistics) and external (suppliers) to deliver program deliverables according to timing plan.
  • Involve in local supplier evaluation and choice together with purchasing and supplier quality. Prepare and review technical requirement to suppliers.
  • Responsible to provide TTC (technical, timing, and cost) to approved investigation and engineering changes.
  • Secure/support all technical documentation including drawing, change orders, etc. are produced, updated and release according to plan.
  • Secure material delivery with correct spec to pre-series build and handle deviations.
  • Responsible to provide and execute technical solution, with support from cross functional team.
  • Secure the product can fulfil Volvo technical requirement through verification activities (DV, PV, etc)
  • Communicate closely with headquarter regarding engineering strategy, working method and technical details.
  • Contribute and support cost reduction activities in Surface Material team.

 

Why do you fit the profile?

  • Minimum 3 years. (Fresh graduates can also be considered if you are good and worth to develop.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum 3 years’ automotive experience for Surface Material development.
  • Good knowledge of color theory and good ability to distinguish different color.
  • Good analytical, problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
  • Presentation and written communication skills in English.
  • Capable to do component appearance review and approve is a plus.
  • High integrity and professionalism, strong result driven, high flexibility and open minded.
