Business Development Analyst

Job Summary:

  

The Business Development Analyst is a key communication pilar for the Western Region.  The  responsibilities include the creation and analysis of regional and market level reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis that include but are not limited to: new and used car sales, retailer performance and customer satisfaction, retailer and regional financial tracking, and vehicle allocation/inventory management. Then acting as a communicator of this information to internal and external partners.  The Business Development Analyst is expected to regularly monitor and communicate areas of improvement and re-cap/forecast sales trends throughout the region.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Generate and manage daily/weekly/monthly reports pertaining to the region’s key areas of performance:  new and used car sales, retailer financial trends, customer satisfaction, inventory management and allocation strategies, competitive brand analysis, customer and lease retention.
  • Support the Regional Field Team with ad hoc analyses.   
  • Presentation Preparation for internal and retailers, including analysis and story building
  • Develop and improve regional/market level reporting tools to support management and field team personnel and create further efficiencies. 
  • Monitor retailer inventories, turn rates, competitive trends, and incentives to make recommendations on future inventories
  • Act as a line of communication and support for the vehicle distribution team
  • Bulk importing of data from various data sources and transform into stories market teams can use to drive sales
  • Track/Report/Analyze retailer website metrics, Volvo Car Financial Services applications, retailer leads, and vehicle showroom traffic on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Track/Report/Analyze vehicle incentive and retailer bonus programs  
  • Oversee and support in management of regional cost center and processing of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Track and report retailer’s monthly financial statements and breakdown Market/Regional trends.

Competencies/Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 0-3 years of experience, inclusive of strong internship experience
  • Business management and leadership skills required
  • Strong organization skills, be detail oriented, and strong influencing/negotiation abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Passion for automotive and emerging technologies
  • Understand latest trends in data science with the ability to use database programs
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Suite, with strong Excel knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work with teams across multiple departments and understand performance indicators within each
