Bachelor Thesis Project - Value Flow Analyze

 

Who we are

Development of new vehicles, including technologies such as Advanced Driver Assistance System and Automated Driving is challenging the test, verification, and validation environment at proving grounds. The environment should not only replicate the real world but also enable absolute accuracy and high throughput in a safe and sustainable way.

At Hällered Proving Ground we have specialized teams using state of the art driving robots, soft targets and target carrier system to enable the high demands.  We are working according Volvo Cars Agile Framework, which is a combination of the Agile and LEAN framework. The team does not only perform testing but also as a world leading testing team, research and development new test systems as well as test methods. All to meet current and future testing needs in the area of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Autonomous Drive.

What you'll do

The Task is to improve the team’s value flow by collect data, analyze, locate bottle necks and propose improvements. In order to collect the necessary data you will follow the team’s activities. The analyze should consider LEAN principles resulting detected bottle necks which should be presented to the team while also explained. Within the Volvo Cars Agile Framework (LEAN) find improvement areas as well as propose specific improvements.

Deliverables
The main output from the thesis project should be the following two deliverables:

Well-documented data collection, analyze, bottle neck and proposed improvements

Presentation of used methods, analyze and located bottle neck with improvement proposals

A report compiling the project

 

Who you are

A Requirement for this position is that you are currently enrolled in an ongoing Bachelor of Science programme. Related areas for this thesis are Supply chain and Development
