Background
At Product & Quality, you will be a key contributor in the development of the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.

 

This thesis work will be carried out with the Department of Vehicle Software & Electronics. The Agile release train “enabling tools” is dedicated to develop tool support for our engineering.
Our responsibilities include development of tools, processes and methods for electrical systems and software development. We are engage to provide engineers great tools for product development including requirement management, software prototype, and mechatronic system design. We are looking for driven and motivated students interested in pursuing their Master Thesis during the spring term 2019.

 

Scope:
Currently a new development tool environment is under deployment and improvement, this thesis work is focusing on: 
• Identify modelling use cases related to design of mechatronics systems;
• Identify use cases for tool integrations such as CarWeaver and Rhapsody;
• Propose and prototype integration solutions; 

 

Do you fit the profile?
• Technical university
• Computer science/engineering master or similar
• English in writing
• Knowledge of UML/SysML and tools will be a merit.
• Knowledge of software engineering and experience of object-oriented programming.

 

Duration
• Start 2019Q1
• 20 weeks duration (30 ECT)
