Inbound & Outbound Transport Quality & Claims team belongs to the SCM organization within Volvo Cars, which is part of Volvo Cars Manufacturing & Logistics. We define the global transport quality standards, control and manage the quality of inbound and outbound transports. We are now looking for a summer worker to join our department. The team is located in Gothenburg and in Gent and our work task is global. Team mission is to define quality standards, claims process and carrier instructions for material and vehicle transports and further communicate and support in implementing those together with carriers and in close co-operation with the local logistics teams in our different regions. Team monitor and support the daily operations and pro-actively improve the quality of transports.

 

What you'll do

As a Global Outbound Quality Analyst you will monitor incoming reports of damages in Inbound and outbound distribution and give advice when needed. You will be working with day to day tasks and administration which include:

 

  • Send requests for damage classifications upon request to CMQ (current model quality) team and provide classification confirmation forward to external claims loss adjuster.
  • Analyzing transport damage data and calculate damage rate per carrier.
  • Goods receive invoices in SAP.
  • Act as a contact person for quality issues in transports.

 

Who you are

We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills as this role interacts with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally. You enjoy working in collaboration with different partners and colleagues both internally and outside the company and have good knowledge within logistics operations. You are also accurate and detail oriented, while being service minded and having a strong customer focus.

 

  • You have an ongoing or finished degree within Supply chain/Logistics/Transport or equivalent relevant working experience.
  • Able to understand operational processes.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • If you have an operational background and/or experience in logistic processes, transportations or forwarding business that knowledge is highly beneficial.

Duration: All summer worker positions will take place during the period June-August 2019 for a total work period of up to 10 weeks depending on the position. Note that some departments might be closed for a period during week 29-32.
