Solution Architect - Identity & Access Management

Platform Products is responsible for all Infrastructure & Platform Services within Volvo Car Group globally and a key component in the total digital delivery. The product area Digital Identity and Access Management covers all aspects of Identity Management, user and application identification and authorization, and application access management within Volvo Cars Corporation. The product is an important part of the IT landscape, supporting many applications as well as internal and external users. 

We are working in an outsourced operational model, where suppliers provide the daily operations of the infrastructure. Our job is to make sure the functionality and quality of the product meet the business requirements, both short and long term. This is done by managing suppliers, governance, exploring and defining strategies, setting visions and roadmap, innovation, and continuous improvement/development. Our future challenges are securing continuous delivery of the services globally in a fast-paced environment and keep developing the services to jointly meet business requirements and requirements of the digital environment in a cost and time-effective manner.

Our journey to Cloud has taken its first step and we are as we speak establishing our services on Cloud. The onward journey to full Enterprise-scale capability will be a major and very important focus for us.
We are a couple of years into our agile transformation and both scrum and SAFE are a crucial part of how we execute. We still focus on maturing and improving our agile ways of working as part of delivering our products and we appreciate the benefits that we get from agile methodologies. 



We are now looking for Senior Identity and Access Management architect
As the Identity and Access Management architect within IT Platform Services, you will be part of a dedicated team providing end-to-end services to the business. You will be exploring our future needs, working with the product owner to set the vision and roadmap, and suggesting valuable next steps in our development. 

You will support development initiatives and projects, evaluating, suggesting, creating new or updating existing applications within the Identity and Access Management area. You are proactive, have good insights into the identity and access management field and development and you suggest solutions, advise how different applications can use the authentication services and assist with integrations to Volvo Cars backend applications and make sure the solution fits into the existing platforms.

You will of course work in close contact with business stakeholders, IT delivery organization,s and vendors to understand and create valuable services for our customers, but also to guide and tutor our communities and explain the criticality of the services. 


What you will be doing:
•    Actively interact with stakeholders and development teams to identify common needs and capabilities and to execute solutions in alignment with Identity & Access Management Strategy and principles
•    Plan and develop the IAM strategy and roadmap
•    Work with supplier and vendor application architects to ensure coherent solutions, reuse, and ease of operations
•    Ensure that current architecture is fit for purpose and suggest and implement improvements needed for an optimal operation E2E
•    Quality assure the needed architectural documentation for the product E2E
•    Work with the product owners, product managers, and the stakeholders to specify how the requested solution will be delivered
•    Plan, design, and implement the solution, including integrations to backend systems, based on business needs and dependencies to existing IT services
•    Take part in architecture reviews

We also need you to have the following technical skills: 
•    Documented IT experience from large/complex applications and projects in large global organizations
•    A minimum of 5 years experience from developing enterprise digital services in general
•    A minimum of 5 years experience in IT Security and Identity & Access Management
•    A minimum of 5 years of experience from working on projects
•    A minimum of 4 years Experience in IDPs like Microsoft Azure AD, Identity Management Systems,  Access Manager Systems, directories, and Multi-Factor Authentication 
•    Experience in user provisioning and identity management 
•    Experience in Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics
•    Experience in process definition, workflow design, and process mapping
•    Several years’ experience of operating in global infrastructure environments
•    Strong knowledge of ITIL and agile methods
•    Experience from working in automotive



Required Skills
•    Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
•    Ability to turn business requirements into sustainable technical solutions
•    Good communication skills; the ability to convey ideas in written form and the capability to share those ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner to both technical specialists and people without technical knowledge
•    Knowledge of different authentication methods and integrations
•    Access management knowledge
•    Enterprise Directories and Cloud environment knowledge
•    Knowledgeable about IT security controls, ISO 27001, Service Continuity
•    Knowledgeable about Information Security, Risk and Compliance
•    Knowledgeable about different access control concepts including directory services, SAML2, LDAP, NIS, OAUTH2, OpenID etc
•    Comfortable working and discussing with management teams
•    Good collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with and leading other skilled professionals in project teams towards common goals
•    SAFe/Leadership skills
•    Strong knowledge in Identity Governance and Administration
