You will become a member of the development team, ComWired Applications which is a team where you will get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic environment. The wired communication area consists of a hardware (HW) team known as ComWired Technologies, a software (SW) team known as ComWired Application team, and a systems team known as ComWired System. All these teams have many deliverables which are developed through advanced engineering and research projects. The teams are a part of the agile release train (ART) Base Technology Solutions (BTS), which forms a part of the fundament for all electronic control units in the entire electrical system.
The ComWired Applications (SW) team focuses on multiple wired communication technologies with the main focus on Time synchronization. The team members are responsible for designing and verifying the wired communication technologies through requirements, simulations, measurements and proof of concept from both a HW and SW perspective. The team members work in close collaboration with other teams and suppliers to make sure that the wired technologies are implemented according to Volvo Cars requirements.
What you’ll do
- You will develop Automotive Networking Technologies related to Time Synchronization
- Aligning and coordinating delivery with Architects and Tech Leads to ensure consistency in solutions.
- Collaborating within and outside the team to secure resilient solutions and shared technical design.
- Providing technical guidance to team members – Code Review, Test Automation, Dev Ops best practices
- You will troubleshoot in different environments such as SIL, HIL, BoxCar and Vehicles
This work will be done in close cooperation with other team members. Team members are automotive experts within their technology field, and they will be happy to share their experience with you. More details about the position will be shared in an interview.
You and your skills
- You have experience with Automotive development, system architecture and network interface design.
- Embedded Software Development of complex software products using C++, C or Python
- Embedded OS or Linux / QNX / AUTOSAR
We believe that you have following basic skills and qualifications:
- Minimum B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent education
- You are curious and want to contribute to develop of our wired technologies.
- You are committed to high delivery quality and can proceed your work without having all facts at hand before you start.
- You have a positive attitude and are a team player.
Excellent communication skills in English both in writing and speech. - A Driver’s license (B-level)
