Software Engineer - Motor Controls

Software: fuel for mobility

We bring bold digital visions to life. So we’re on the lookout for more curious and creative engineers who want to create change – one line of high-quality code at a time. Our transformation isn't for everyone, but if you're excited about solving the leading-edge technological challenges facing the auto industry, then let’s talk about your next move.

Who are you
You have a passion for development of complex mechatronic systems within vehicle electrification, electronics and embedded systems. You enjoy driving engineering challenges all the way from the business case and concept stage to mass production.
You have a background within the Power Electronics field and are a natural initiator who commits to delivering the Team´s deliverables with high precision and quality. You are a team player who contributes and brings out the best in your fellow team members and works actively to increase your network.

What you will do
The Motor Controls team is developing the in-house Electric Motor Control Application from the bottom up, where the core functionality of the SW is to realize the requested electric machine torque in the most optimal way given the current operating conditions. Due to the SW being developed from the bottom up in an embedded environment, it makes the scope of the team comparatively large as it is currently responsible for the entire chain of development: architectural structure, concept studies, development environment, functionality development, SW verification (unit test, MIL, SIL, HIL and rig/dyno), documentation and requirements review.

The team uses Simulink and code generation for application SW and direct C code for the lower-level code needed for the inverter drivers and communication. The way of working includes using Git and Gerrit with short iterations between implementation and feedback from the team.
We are looking for the right person to join our development team. In this role as a Developer, you will be a part of a highly agile and fast-paced team that delivers state-of-the-art functionality. You will utilize various Software used for the different parts during the development process and have responsibility for all phases of the development; from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine-tuning of the functionality.

You and your skills

Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within Power Electronics, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems or Mechatronics
- Several years of full-time industry experience
- Embedded software development
- Expert knowledge of MATLAB Simulink for control development
- Expert knowledge of Python
- Experience with modern integrated development environments and debuggers
- Experience with other languages such as C, C++
- Experience in calibration activities in test rigs and vehicle
- Experience in AUTOSAR structured architecture, workflow and toolchains
- Advanced level in the English language and be comfortable and skilled in explaining or understanding complex solutions.
- Drivers license

What we offer
