Senior Product Owner - Volvo Cars app

Let's create the future together.

At Volvo Cars, we’re on a mission to make people’s lives less complicated. We design our services around people, and we innovate to provide mobility that is personal, sustainable and safe. Do you want to join us?

What’s in it for you?
At Volvo Cars app, we are working on some of the automotive’s most challenging and exciting initiatives such as providing mobility, connected cars, and digital services. We work in customer-centric product teams to build products that make owning a car better experience. We work on products and platforms such as the Volvo On Call app, Service Booking and APIs that enables new and innovative services. We’re hiring people who want to solve some of today’s most complex engineering challenges while making a positive impact. The team is located in both Gothenburg and Stockholm, Sweden. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna and King.

We are now looking for a Senior Product Owner to help build relationships with our customers through technology. You will be working in agile product development for Volvo Cars app, based in either our Stockholm or Gothenburg office.

What you’ll do
You will lead a cross-functional product team to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across key aspects of our commercial platform. Pursue validation of potential solutions to customer problems before starting feature development. Ensure rapid iterations and experiments of all products in your area as well as establish and monitor key product success metrics and analytics. You will manage products through their life cycle: ideation, introduction, growth, and end stages, communicate your team's vision and roadmap cross-functionally and be the spokesperson for your team. Finally, you will drive the successful delivery of projects for your team, balancing priorities and resources in collaboration with the scrum master and program manager and be responsible for internal and external stakeholder and partner communication.

You and your skills
Our ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience as a product owner (a plus if it's in the mobility space). Candidates should have a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful consumer-facing product throughout its lifecycle, including experience in managing both front end UX and backend services. They should have a passion for solving problems in the mobility space for all types of customers.

We’re looking for someone with experience in building internal technology platforms for other teams to build upon. This will require the ability to navigate and exert influence in a non-hierarchical organization. Candidates must be able to work with diverse teams and partners across complex organizations to achieve results and have experience managing engagement with executive-level partners. Excellent communication, mentoring and product leadership skills are a must.

Values:

Truth and transparency. Sharing information more broadly means everyone can make better decisions.
Constantly seeking the truth through hard facts and data generally leads to optimal outcomes.
Goal-driven. Our team sets very high standards and takes great pride in our work. We strive to work hard and with a purpose since everything should be tied back to a deeper goal.
Having fun and not taking ourselves too seriously. We enjoy each other’s company and welcome those with diverse backgrounds and experiences, however, there is shared commonality in our values that bind us as friends and colleagues.
Ownership. Lastly, we want everyone on our team to think and act like owners. We think about things holistically and proactively do what is necessary to achieve success. We own outcomes and never brush away issu
es, even if it’s not in our direct domain.
