The Brake Performance and Brake NVH teams are part of the Personal Driving Experience Centre within Product Creation at Volvo Car Group. The Centre has the responsibility to ensure that our attributes, Driving Dynamics, Solidity and NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) are supported in the vehicle programmes, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. Within Brake Performance and Brake NVH we have attribute and testing responsibility and are primarily supporting the development of foundation brakes. The teams work integrated in all project phases, from advanced engineering to vehicle production start, and with field and quality issues, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the attributes in our cars. We work with physical testing and CAE of components, systems and their integration in the complete vehicle. In short, we define requirements, test and tune our cars to deliver a world class experience for our customers.


What you will do
As a Senior Engineer of the Brake Performance and Brake NVH teams the main focus is on leading attribute strategies, requirement/method development and support development during concept phases. An important part of the role will be understanding customer expectations and collaborating with stakeholders to set both the system requirements and Attribute targets in order to secure the best customer experience. 


You and your skills
You have a sincere interest and understanding of customer experience and how to add customer value. You are structured and have a data driven and collaborative approach to solving problems fit for a fast-changing future with new unknown challenges.
In the team you are a team player and an important part in supporting the team to be able to reach your common goals. 

Further skills
•    Minimum M.Sc. in engineering
•    5+ years working experience with technical attribute development
•    Complete Vehicle Engineering experience
•    Understanding of vehicle deceleration (friction brakes, regeneration etc)
•    Attribute requirements and customer experience knowledge
•    Fluent in English, written and spoken 
•    Swedish driver’s license, B-level
