Our department  

We are people from all over the world working on the revolutionary core system platform that will be the heart in the new electric Volvo cars. This is a unique approach that very few car companies have taken on as a challenge and is mostly developed in-house. The teams  

The teams you will serve develop high performance platform services for application developers like, execution manager, logging service, diagnostic communication stack including DoIP gateway, CAN gateway, ODB/UDS services, diagnostic firewall and interfaces to customer application diagnostics and more.  The teams consist of a mix of software engineers working as a cross-functional team. The team’s work is carried out according to Scrum methodology within the SAFe Framework. 


Role Specifics – Scrum Master   
As a Scrum Master you will be an important part of our Agile Release Train (ART). You will work together with other agile leaders to create a high-performance organization. We are relying on our Scrum Masters to be leaders that serve the teams and organization and coach the teams using agile team practices with focus on flow and taking lead in continuous improvements.   


Main responsibilities   

In this role you will support the teams to embrace, adopt and apply agile principles and practices. You will also facilitate the team’s progress toward team goals by focusing on improving performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity as well as staying focused on the team’s iteration goals. Additionaly you will facilitate team meetings like the daily stand-up, iteration planning, review and retrospective.


Except from above your task will also be to support the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog with respect to priorities and scope. You will communicate with management and stakeholders, collaborate with other Scrum Masters to learn and improve own profession and facilitate preparation and readiness for ART ceremonies like PI Planning, System Demos and the Inspect and Adapt.



  • We are looking for you who are a true servant leader with an agile mindset. 
  • M.Sc in Software Engineering and/or Software Science or similar   
  • At least 7 years of experience from working within Software Development  
  • At least 2 years of experience from working as Scrum Master or Agile leader  
  • Experience working with Scrum   
  • Fluent in English  
  • Currently located in Sweden   



  • Experience within Automotive and from working in an international environment   
  • Experience from creating and establishing Software Development Processes  
  • Experience working with SAFe
