Product Owner Inverter Design

Volvo Cars has transformed to the Agile Way of Working applying the Scaled Agile Framework (https://www.scaledagileframework.com).
The Electric Driveline Department is part of the Vehicle Propulsion unit. The department and the Electric Drive Agile Release Train (EDHW ART) deliver products with high quality and with a clear ownership within the development teams to our Electric Propulsion Product Stream. The EDHW ART develops El Drives system/components including El Machines and Inverters well integrated into Electric Vehicle Architectures.
As a Product Owner (PO) Inverter Design you will own the Team Backlog for the team. You will maximize the value added work by owning and deciding upon priorities in the program backlog from a technical and business perspective. You work closely with the Scrum Master, the Team, line/team manager, Product Manager, System Architects, other stakeholders and PO’s to plan, sync, lead and support the development of features and enablers of the ART backlog.

Together with the team, you break down the ART features and drive the definition of objectives, stories, acceptance criteria’s to create and release solutions and technology. You are empowered to accept stories as done and for signing off technical work products and deviations within the scope of the team.
The Inverter Design team is a new product team in which we build up our engineering ability to design inverter technology – and you will be in the centre to make this happen. For the PO position, we are looking for a strong product development leader with more than ten years of documented hands-on engineering and leadership experience in Power Electronics in-house design from research, advanced and industrialization programs.

Who are you
- You have a University degree within Power El/Electronics.
- Substantial industrial experience in High Voltage Power Electronics design.
- Senior experience in product development, working methods and program execution.
- You have a high ability and a strong will to continuously learn and develop your skillset in El Drive technology/development.
- You are strong in both formal and influential/inspirational leadership. You have the ability to set direction, motivate and create confidence in a team, set prioritization, commit to the deliverables and make things happen.
- You are very comfortable to cooperate and communicate with people on different levels in the organization
- You are great with oral, written and visual communication and presentation in English.
- You are business oriented, flexible and performance driven.
- You do have the courage to take decisions and be accountable.
- Experience and training in Scrum/Agile/Scaled Agile work practices is a merit.
