Your Mission

Volvo Cars is undertaking a deep digital transformation. We are investing in new platforms with the ambition to drive our agenda towards marketing automation and personalisation at scale. As part of this strategy Volvo Cars EMEA is looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Launch Lead to join the digital marketing team.

We are looking for someone who has both passion and proven expertise in MarTech and CRM. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing tech background and a desire to work in fast-paced environments to dramatically accelerate new business growth. You will manage the launch and implementation in the EMEA sales companies. You will be part of the EMEA Marketing Team located at the global head-office in Gothenburg, Sweden

In this role, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Lead create and manage the effective use of our marketing automation platform to develop effective strategies for outbound marketing and lead nurturing program. Working within our EMEA Marketing team as well as collaborate with our Global MarCom team and Marketing Cloud product team, you will help train and support our EMEA markets with their lead-gen strategies and campaigns that maximize customer retention, goal conversion, and post activation engagement.

The position works collaboratively with product experts, local market teams and their agencies to create and execute the strategic campaigns. The individual is also responsible for monitoring industry best practices to track, analyze and report results and make suggestions to continually improve our approach to drive conversion results. What You'll Do

  • Drive the launch Salesforce Marketing Cloud in EMEA markets in close cooperation with project management and product teams
  • Capture and analyse business requirements from sales companies and steer them in to the Product Team for development
  • Secure market readiness ahead of go live and act as the point of escalation after go live
  • Work closely with the markets to secure adoption and knowledge transfer to the local marketing teams so that they can own the end-to-end customer email journey for prospects and subscribers
  • Develop strategies and tactics for driving customer engagement, subscriptions, and goal conversion and share it with your team as well as promote best practice
  • Deliver training face-to-face and through webinars
  • Help drive Marketing Automation programs, Campaign Strategy, KPI analysis, Report/Dash Development
  • Ensure best practices are employed to ensure strong deliverability and consumer engagement
  • Understand the broader Martech eco-system and act as driver in Volvo Cars digital transformation
  • Contribute to the in-house knowledge of Marketing Cloud capabilities
  • Travel will be needed since onsite onboarding of all remaining markets


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, Engineering, Communications or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud / ExactTarget preferably from previous implementation projects. Marketing Cloud certifications are a strong plus
  • 2+ years of CRM experience including hands-on development and execution of campaigns in Marketing Cloud including Journey Builder and audience segmentation
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Core platform and understanding of data flows with Marketing Cloud
  • Hands-on work with email marketing campaigns, data analysis, and reporting
  • Hands-on work with data analysis and reporting that delivers actionable insights
  • Knowledge of SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS a plus
  • Prior experience in analytics, digital marketing technologies, or ecommerce is a strong plus
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
