As Group Design Leader (GDL) for AC & Heating you will represent the ART (Agile Release Train) Climate Comfort with analysis and implementation of solutions for AC & Heating systems. You will work closely with the team and report to the Product Owner and the Team Manager.

What you’ll do 

You will lead a cross functional team in engineering projects for mechanical HW and ensure delivery of in-house design and/or of supplier developed components and built to print with regards to time, technology and cost requirements of the task area within different vehicle programs. You will also ensure that the technical documentation (TCE, KDP) is available at the right level and at the right time. As GDL, you will also:

  • Be in contact with CAE, other R&D members, suppliers and manufacturing to agree of required actions.
  • Follow up prototype car builds and manufacturing of prototypes.
  • Perform and lead design reviews.
  • Ensure that verification activities are planned and performed according to the overall time plan.
  • Manage supplier contacts concerning planning and monitoring.

You and your skills.
You have a technical education of mechanical systems at university level and a few years of experience in mechanical design (CATIA V5). You also have a good understanding of thermodynamics. Fluency in English (written and spoken) as well as driver’s license B are required.

On a personal level, you are result oriented with the capacity to drive several issues simultaneously. Your structured and analytical side will show off in this role and you are a great team player with good communication skills.
