Exterior Trim Design Engineers

Who are we?
The Exterior Department within P&Q are responsible for the whole process of designing and developing exterior systems. At Exterior Trim we offer positions within the following agile teams:

 

  • Exterior Glass - windscreens, rear screens, door glass, quarter glass and WEM covers
  • Exterior Ornamentation - cappings, a-pillar moulding, rails and emblems.
  • Exterior Body Covers - wheel arch extensions, spoilers, door moulding and antennas
  • Functional Black Trim Floor - underbody panels, engine undershield, heat shields, wheel arch liners, air deflectors and labels.
  • Functional Black Trim Engine Compartment - plenum, HWAS, cold zone, battery attachment, absorbents, fender carrier sealing and tread plates.

 

What you will do
The parts we are responsible for are developed as build to print by you as a design engineer. Most of our content is plastics but also some parts in glass and sheet metal. In one our agile teams you will have the ownership of the product from cradle to grave making sure that time, technology and cost are held and kept within the agreed framework as well as secure quality assured deliveries. You will have a global ownership for the product and work with colleagues around the world.

 

Do you fit the profile?

We are looking for someone who has a keen technical interest and knowledge preferably with a Master of Science alt. Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent competence through other education and/or professional experience. Understanding the product development process system is meritorious, as is experience in plastic and/or sheet metal design. Your Catia experience includes Catia Advance. Having experience from working with suppliers will ensure success in this role. Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken is a given.
