Electrical Harness Design Engineer

Who are we?
The Electrical Department within P&Q are responsible for the whole process of designing and developing electrical systems. Electrical Distribution System (EDS) is responsible for developing the electrical distribution system, the wiring harness and the wiring harness components, in all vehicle lines within Volvo Cars. We are a part of the ART Electrical Infrastructure.

What you will do
The parts we are responsible for are developed as build to print by you as a design engineer. Most of our content is wiring harness but also some parts are wiring harness components. In our agile teams you will have the ownership of the product from cradle to grave making sure that time, technology and cost are held and kept within the agreed framework as well as secure quality assured deliveries. You will have a global ownership for the product and work with colleagues around the world.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for someone who has several years of experience from working with harness design and is familiar with design in different phases. Experience from the automotive industry is meritorious just as harness manufacturing experience. You have a University degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience. Your English is fluent, both written and spoken. KDP and Teamcenter experience is meritorious together with knowledge about Volvo Cars product development process. Your Catia experience includes Catia Advance.

As a person, you enjoy working in a changing environment; it challenges you in a positive way. You take responsibility for the team's and your commitments. You enjoy getting the chance to initiate and drive tasks towards target. Communication and cross-functional work gives you energy.
