Warranty Claims Analyst

 Job Summary:   

  • Reviews, analyzes, and processes many unique claim documents ensuring conformity to warranty, administrative & technical policies and procedures in finalizing claims. Provides warranty training for field personnel and retailers. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Provides feedback to management regarding department enhancements and process improvements.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze claims routed to review by applying policy to ensure correct payment.
  • Utilize written and verbal communication to assist retailers via helpdesk.
  • Use analytical tools including the Claims analysis database to identify out of line conditions and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in development of warranty training for the field and retailers.
  • Assist in administering the Warranty Retailer Counseling Process.(WRCP).
  • Participate in focus meetings, initiating actions which optimize retailer diagnostics, repair methods, and Warranty Department policy and enforcement activities.

 

 

 Principal Authorities:

  • Assist with Selection of warranty claims for retailer self-analysis, internal reviews and or audits.
  • Assist with Development and presentation of warranty training for the field and retailers.
  • Review warranty controls and advise group on effectiveness of the filters.
  • Review and Assist other departments with adjustments to vehicle claims or records
  • Recommend labor operation controls for specific repairs, observed through processing frequency. 

 

 

 

 

Key Competencies/Abilities:

 

  • Thorough knowledge of service operations, warranty policies and procedures (administrative and technical), which is generally acquired through a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar environment.
  • Utilize computer to communicate, analyze data, track trends, and retrieve information.
  • Explain complex issues in a clear manner both written and verbally.
  • Assume leadership of cross functional teams to identify problems, create action plans and achieve objectives.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of warranty and can help guide retailers in claim correction process.
