The Americas HR Business Application Manager/Digital Product Owner is responsible for applications from a business and user perspective. You act as a strong owner of local HR solutions and ensure consistent deployment of Global HR applications in the Region. You are both securing that the current system is fulfilling customer needs as well as taking part of the development of the systems and processes forward. Principal Responsibilities:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for performing HR-related duties and works closely with the Senior Human Resources Team and Hiring Managers to support the recruitment of both salaried and hourly employees working in the first Volvo Car US Operations Manufacturing Facility.

 

  • Be an integral part in the ramp-up of the hourly workforce for the plant.
  • Administer the company’s pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check programs
  • Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, completeness, compliance and confidentiality
  • Develop and maintain staff reports for distribution to management team
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with the Employee Onboarding, administration and processes, metrics, HRIS systems, ATS System and policies.
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems

Knowledge/Requirements:

  • Four year degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3-5 years minimum Recruiting experience, both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Full Cycle recruiting experience
  • Strong sourcing experience through Job Boards, ATS and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with start-up manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Experience with mass hiring procedures.
  • Experience with ATS and Microsoft Office.
  • Effective problem-analysis and problem resolution skills; strong customer focus and motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong team player, ability to work with people at all levels.
  • HR Certification preferred.
