Senior Warranty Claims Analyst

Jo           Job Summary: 

  • Reviews, analyzes and processes various claim documents to ensure conformity of warranty administrative & technical policies and procedures in finalizing claims. Primary support/assistance to the Audit Department in administering the Warranty Retailer Counseling Process. Provides warranty training for field personnel and retailers. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Will provide orientation, training, as well as assign and check work of claims analysts. Provides feedback to management regarding department enhancements, process improvements and/or performance of claims analyst team.

 

P             Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiate activities which contribute to department warranty cost savings objectives.
  • Analyze claims routed to review by applying a policy to ensure correct payment.
  • Provide back up support as needed to Warranty Analysts team for help desk functions.
  • Use analytical tools including the Claims analysis database to identify out of line conditions and recommend a solution.
  • Review new Tech Journals, Service Product Journals, and Service Manager Bulletins; and prepare appropriate communications from Warranty Department to pro-actively highlight and interpret policy for retailer personnel.
  • Participate in the development of warranty training for the field and retailers.
  • Assist the Audit Department in administering the Warranty Retailer Counseling Process (WRCP).

 

Principal Authorities:

  • Request changes in appropriate retailer steps in the WRCP as needed i.e. rescheduling review dates and appropriate actions required by retailers to ensure program requirements are achieved and maintained.
  • Select warranty claims for retailer self-analysis, internal reviews and or audits.
  • Develop and administer warranty training for the field and retailers.
  • Audit and debit warranty claims.

 

Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of service operations, warranty policies and procedures (administrative and technical), which is generally acquired through a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
  • Utilize PC to communicate, analyze data, track trends, and retrieve information.
  • Explain complex issues in a clear manner both written and verbally.
  • Assume leadership of the cross-functional team to identify problems, create action plans and achieve objectives.
