Regional Business Controller - Southern

What we are looking for:

The finance team is looking for a new team member to support steering the Southern region towards their financial targets. This role will work within the region while closely linked to the headquarters in Mahwah, NJ with a focus on both regional corporate earnings as well as Retailer Profitability.

A day in the life:

  • Maintain and steer the profit outlook for the Southern region
  • Present monthly financial results to the region, with an understanding of key variances driving performance
  • Work closely with regional colleagues and headquarter finance to identify areas of profit opportunities and risks
  • Drive revenue management through active participation in the mix and rates process
  • Support preparation of business cases and investment proposals, with clear demonstration of ROI
  • Perform financial analysis on an adhoc basis and actively support RVPs financial requests across the business
  • Build financial acumen throughout the region through participation and active involvement.
  • Perform various analysis of retailer financial statements and business management systems to identify key areas of opportunities and concerns while working with retailers to improve

 

What you will bring to Volvo:

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting supported by graduate degree in finance with 5+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of the US automotive business and products
  • Knowledge of forecasting/data visualization tools and methodology and ability to manage complex excel models
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • PC proficiency with high level of expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great presentation skills and experience interacting with senior management

  • Analytical and innovative mindset as a self-starter with high energy
  • Experience with vehicle sales planning and automotive finance and leasing programs
  • Ability to build relationships quickly
