The Financial Analyst, Quality & Customer Service supports the Business Controller Quality & Customer Service with the financial management and control of various warranty and quality budgets for the Americas and supports the Customer Service organization in order to drive profitable growth.  This function will assist with target setting, accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring proper accounting.



  • Support financial governance and monitoring of all aspects of Quality and Warranty operations throughout the Americas Region.
  • Help forecast and track the performance of all warranty and extended warranty programs for Volvo Car USA, as well as all goodwill and after warranty assistance programs.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for Americas Warranty and Quality activities and Customer Service operations for fixed cost management (all departments and cost centers).
  • Support the development and tracking of business cases and strategies affecting Warranty/Quality and Customer Service operations
  • Support reserve analysis on warranty and certified pre-owned cost provisions while working closely with VCC and factory teams to understand the development of warranty assumptions by platform and carline
  • Analysis on Goodwill, buyback, and trade assists.
  • Support all periodic financial reporting for the VCUSA Customer service business including monthly performance reporting with a bottom-line focus for CS operations.
  • Monitor CS daily and monthly actuals performance against budget and forecast to provide timely guidance to VCUSA, VCC, and Customer Service management.
  • Provide VME tracking and analysis to optimize CS discount investment
  • Assist in development of revenue, cost of sales, and margin analysis
  • Prepare relevant monthly GL account reconciliation in accordance with defined VCC processes
  • Support Facilities Management with monthly accruals and General Ledger closing guidance
  • Provide parts logistics group with data and analysis to support profitable growth of overall CS business


Competencies, experiences & skills:

  • Knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting supported by undergraduate degree in finance or accounting with 2+ years of related experience
  • Interest in the US automotive business and products
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • PC proficiency with expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint, experience with SAP preferred
  • General accounting knowledge
