BIS Specialist - C Shop

Job Summary:

The BIS Specialist is responsible for coordinating and inputting all data into T-client in order to ensure the Production team has all of the most up-to-date build specifications.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support the Plant Launch team and Process Engineering team in ensuring all part numbers and variants are up-to-date on the Build Information Sheets.
  • Read and interpret running change data and new model data and input the data into T-client.
  • Make necessary changes to the Build Information Sheet layout to reflect changes made systematically.
  • Communicate changes to the team members and work closely with the team to ensure they are receiving all of the information in the best way possible.
  • Must understand the importance of time management and be proactive at all times.
  • Transfer important information to the team members.
  • Ensure effective daily communication, shift to shift and Team Leader to Supervisor reporting.
  • Perform the required activities to ensure that products and services are delivered on time, to quality standards (within required specifications), both personally and by training and coaching the team to deliver the overall team targets, as well as to act by, communicate and model the Volvo Cars Values and company philosophy in line with P&M’s 5 working principles and behaviors.
  • Actively contribute to implementation of the VCMS in your team and work area.
  • Your key responsibilities are defined by the VCMS system and the behaviors that are required by all of our leaders within P&M.


Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in data analysis and data entry
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in highly-automated manufacturing environment preferred, (in automotive industry a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar job level.
  • This position may require travel abroad, for several weeks at a time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Availability to work any shift (weekends, holidays and overtime).
  • The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
