As an Automation Developer – in the Intelligent Automation team you will be working with new technology focused on automating and simplifying work life for thousands of colleagues. We are automating both front and back-end processes that impact all departments and markets in our company, and as an Automation Developer you’ll be a key role to making it happen.

The work includes the whole automation lifecycle, covering across our global operations. Training is also a significant part of the position since our automation developers need to be at the forefront of new technologies and solutions coming.
 

Main responsibilities

• Collaborate with the pre-sales team and stakeholders to gather and understand automation requirements.
• Identifying new process opportunities and accurately analyzing and estimating new processes, quickly assessing feasibility and effort
• Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end RPA solutions using Blue Prism, ensuring they meet quality standards and business objectives in accordance with standard automation design principles, conventions, and Volvo Cars' best practices.
• Analyze, optimize, and re-engineer existing processes to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that streamline operations.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Create technical documentation and maintain proper documentation of developed solutions, processes, and configurations.
• Conduct thorough testing of automation solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of RPA solutions with existing systems and applications.
• Provide technical support and assistance during the implementation and post-implementation phases.
• Stay up to date with the latest RPA and Blue Prism advancements, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Continues communication with our stakeholders on progress and benefits realization after delivered automation.
• Collaborating within and outside the team to drive innovation ideas.
• Raise appropriate flags at relevant intervals in case of any impediments/hurdles.
• Taking end-to-end ownership and accountability of the assigned projects.

Do you fit the profile?

• Must have Blueprism Professional Developer/Solution Designer Certification (APD01/ASD01).
• Proven track record of successful end-to-end RPA project implementations using Blueprism, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in RPA development using Blue Prism, including process design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Experience in automating across diversification of applications – Web, APIs, Windows, Mainframe, Java, etc.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, .NET, Java, or Python.
• Solid understanding of business processes and the ability to analyze and optimize them for automation.
• Experience with process documentation, including process flowcharts, technical specifications, and solution design documents.
• Knowledge of automation design principles and best practices, such as exception handling, error recovery, and logging mechanisms.
• Familiarity with database concepts and SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, error-free automation solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Hands- on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Well-versed with Agile delivery lifecycle and methodology (Devops)
• Driven by innovation and finding new smarter ways to get work done
